Linne’s Two-toed sloths, Flo and Reggie, welcomed their second offspring two weeks ago and keepers are now busy thinking of a name for the newest arrival.
Melo Dias mentions that “animals such as sloths, armadillos and porcupines are easier to capture because they are slower due to their low energetic leaf-based diet.”
Unlike most other arboreal species, sloths also will go down to the ground about once a week to defecate or urinate, rather then just letting their waste drop down from above.
You can see tropical birds, frogs and insects, monkeys, sloths, and even jungle cats.
