A few rural and small-town ridings went orange this time around.
Before the final report, the commission initially recommended Scarborough-Agincourt be absorbed into the existing North York ridings of Don Valley North and Don Valley East.
Ever since redistricting created the S-BV riding from the Skeena riding and parts of the Prince George-Bulkley Valley and Cariboo-Chilcotin ridings, it has been an NDP stronghold.

Final recommendations for B.C.’s new electoral district boundaries are out, and both Chilliwack ridings have changed dramatically since the draft report last fall.
In all, the Boundary Commission is proposing six new B.C. ridings – one each in Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, and Vancouver, one in the Langford area on Vancouver Island, and one near Kelowna – taking the total to 93.
Over the course of the election I’ve been doing my best to keep track of which ridings United Conservative Party leader and Alberta NDP leader visited for events and announcements on the campaign trail between May 1 and May 27, 2023.
The proposed ridings are for areas where rapid population growth is projected, and would bring the total number of ridings in B.C. up from the current 87 to a total of 93.

They're also expected to consider other factors — like the history of the riding, cultural or economic ties between communities, the size of ridings and the impact of boundary changes on Indigenous representation.
We wouldn't expect the former B.C. Liberals to win these two ridings, but how does their campaign go under their new brand of B.C United?'
