Phivolcs has warned that Metro Manila, parts of Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite and even Batangas might be affected by an Intensity 8 shake – the Big One.

“Rockfalls and PDCs generated by collapses of the lava flow margins as well as of the summit dome deposited debris still within four kilometers of the crater,” Phivolcs added.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located 113 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, and was detected by Phivolcs at 7:20 a.m.
