Explaining next week's forecast, Aidan McGivern, from the Met Office, said: 'During the weekend, low pressure over the Mid-North Atlantic will start to feed energy northwards and allow high pressure over the UK to migrate towards Greenland.
Rain will start to develop in the south and spread northwards to all areas tomorrow, becoming heavy at times and bringing with it the risk of localised flooding.
"They continued northwards up the east coast, giving some very close views along the way, before moving offshore at Sarclet when they continued moving north."
This is evident in Tuesday's forecast, with "outbreaks of rain" spreading northwards overnight, and "some heavy falls bringing a risk of spot flooding".
