But this is 2023, and queer culture is all over movies, television, streaming, etc. My good friend and fellow film-reviewing colleague Jason Shawhan recently wrote an essay breaking down the queerness that’s been infiltrating the multiplexes these days.
He terms the policy “timid,” saying it will only see the construction of about 150 multiplexes annually, rather than the thousands needed to restore affordability.
"The cost will become higher to have a detached home because the intrinsic value of the land is higher because of its rental potential," he said, noting that developers building multiplexes could also charge "handsome" rents.
