Hall, of Rodney Way, Ilkeston, has been charged with murder following the discovery of Ms Henshaw’s body in lay-by off the westbound carriageway of the A617 – close to Junction 29 of the M1 – on Monday (June 26).
She became increasingly concerned about his behaviour after realising he was abusing his position to ask fellow employees to “spy” on her, and in January 2021, he was caught parked at lay-by by the stables where she was tending her horse.

The doctor examined Ms Henshaw’s body on June 27 this year – one day after it was found in lay-by on the A617 near Chesterfield by police.
Whenever I pass that house now, provided the weather is clement, I pull up in the lay-by above it and take in the view … and the silence.
