Fighting between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah movement and Islamist groups has rocked southern Lebanon's Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp since Friday.

He said there had been “significant progress” in resolving the violence in Ain el-Hilweh, where at least 13 people have been killed in fighting.

Mr. Mikati called for an end to the fighting saying that what is happening in Ein el-Hilweh “does not serve the Palestinian cause and is harmful to the Lebanese state.”
