Byron Council has edged closer to finally building a cycleway between Mullumbimby and Brunswick Heads, settling on a path that will essentially follow the main road route between the two towns.

Investment of over £684,000 to widen pedestrian routes, build a new cycleway and improve bus stops will make it safer and easier for pedestrians, cyclists and bus users to travel between Ralston Road and Meadows Avenue in Campbeltown.

That will be built on the Sheppey side of the roundabout and include a cycleway and footpath linking to Iwade.
