At this event I met Sarah Worthman, a queer researcher and anti-fascist organizer from New Brunswick, and listened to her presentation entitled “2SLGBTQ+ Persecution and the First World War: The Untold History of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.”

Worthman is now a master’s student and freelance researcher, as well as executive director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Queer Research Initiative.
