A FUN few days lie ahead at Scotland’s National Book Town, which is preparing for loads of Beano-inspired events during the second fabulous weekend of the 25 annual Wigtown Book Festival.
From Dodie Weir to Nicola Sturgeon, Wigtown Book Festival has attracted big names from a range of backgrounds since its first event in 1999.
Sandra McDowall was secretary on the community council when the bid was first made for Wigtown to become the thriving book town it is today.
