In a resolution co-sponsored by the Sikh Student Association at Stanford (SSA) and written by Bahia, the UGS on April 11 a recent rise in anti-Sikh hate crimes in the US.

In essence this resolution violated an important covenant regarding the Honor Code and in effect blackmailed the Undergraduate Senate (UGS) into either accepting the C-12 proposal it had unanimously or accepting the Faculty Senate resolution.
