Due to issues created during the pandemic with driver training, ScotRail can’t operate as many trains as they’d like, and the total number of weekday services remains consistent with the December 2022 timetable at around 2,100 per day.
He stated: “Any disruption to passengers is regrettable and it is only right that ScotRail do all they can to get customers to their destinations.
In a speech to the Scottish Parliament last week, Humza Yousaf said ScotRail would not have peak fares between October 2023 and March 2024.
It is hoped that some additional routes can be added that day, but customers should check the ScotRail journey planner for details before they travel.
