A foremost Nigerian author, Professor Kole Omotoso has died at the ripe age of 80 in South Africa where he had been sick for a while, according to a family source.

At a joint news conference on Friday, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso said this is the first official visit of the president to Lagos since 2019.
