North Wales Road Runners Club (NWRRC) entered 16 members and had two of their top runners in the first three finishers in addition to claiming eight podium places and three age cat winners.
NWRRC newcomer Alastair Canaway ran in the capital on Sunday at the London Winter10k and finished 50th out of 13.705 runners with a great new PB of 35.57.
Steve Gardner, Michael Finnie, and Don Hale from NWRRC all ran in 60m heats, while Steve’s father Dave Gardner took part in the shot-put competition and won his super-master M80 age cat with an excellent throw of 6m36.
Stuart Culverhouse led the NWRRC team home in 14th place overall and he finished second in his MV50 age cat in 19.59, whilst Martin Green continued his marathon training with a jog around in 27th place, and he too was second in his MV45 cat in 21.22.
Will’s NWRRC colleague Richard Eccles competed in the same race and he enjoyed a good run in 18.20, and 5th in his MV55 cat.
