During the last hearing, the Secretary to the Commission had spoken with the counsels for Assam and Meghalaya as well as Mukroh villagers to fix May 16 for taking further evidence but due to their unavailability, the date was deferred.

Even as Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has claimed that the disputed Mukroh village falls in the state’s jurisdiction, Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Monday said “the village is very much within Meghalaya”.
