On November 24, a judge confirmed a decision that stated the Chateau Miraval vineyard, which he and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie purchased in 2008, was devalued to reduce its tax liability.
Shefler has said that the transaction to sell Miraval, a French vineyard, was Europe-based and so covered by different discovery rules.
The lawsuit claims the purported sale was "unlawful" due to "contractual agreement" breaches between Jolie and Pitt "to hold Miraval together and not sell their interests separately without the other's consent."
