After a lengthy professional career, Boston College women’s soccer alumna Kristie Mewis will finally be making her Women’s World Cup debut this yea, after being named to Team USA.
An ACL injury in 2018 created a crossroads for Mewis in the prime of her career.

Leading scorer Mallory Swanson went down in April with a serious knee problem, while captain Becky Sauerbrunn said last week she would miss out due to injury and midfielders Catarina Macario and Sam Mewis were also ruled out.
