The feud between the Mallerys and Teresa Clark has changed the EPCSO’s relationship with a rural area where calls reporting suspected crimes once were few and far between and dominated by specifically-rural complaints, said Lt. Jason Garrett.

The Mallerys filed for a temporary protection order in December 2021, alleging Clark was chasing her in her vehicle, stalking and trespassing on their property, and pointing guns at their family.

The office also released a statement stating that claims that it was a racially motivated killing targeting the Mallerys were false.

Valerie Claiborn and her son, Justin Claiborn, are two neighbors who have sided with the Mallerys on the feud going on between neighbors in the community of Yoder.
