Banks Renewables’ Armistead Wind Farm, which sits to the east of the M6 between junctions 36 and 37, has generated around 308,355 MWh of clean, green electricity since it came online a decade ago.
Compared with the price levels posted in the past 18 months, the Nord Pool exchange level was comparatively low, at an average of €104.8 per MWh for the week.

THE power unit of conglomerate San Miguel Corp. (SMC) is set to complete next month its 32 battery energy storage system (BESS) projects with a combined capacity of 1,000 megawatt hours (MWh).
The system has been seen as a major success story, helping to reduce the price of new offshore wind power by nearly 70% in just seven years to less than £40 per megawatt hour (MWh) for the cheapest projects.
The upgrade is expected to make an immediate environmental impact by decreasing annual electricity consumption by 277,000 MWh and reducing annual CO2 emissions by 129,000 tonnes.

Together these customers reduced demand by around 200 megawatt hours (MWh), about the same amount of energy as Bristol uses during an hour.
