Igor Simić, the deputy head of the Serb List, the biggest Belgrade-backed Kosovo Serb party, accused Kosovo’s prime minister, Albin Kurti, of fuelling tensions in the north.
''It is the right of those elected in democratic elections to assume office without threats or intimidation,'' Kurti said on Twitter.
Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti, for his part, regretted that "Kosovo Serb citizens are not using their right to vote" because of pressure from Belgrade.

Kurti took the podium on the third day of a heated debate over the situation in northern Kosovo, where Serbs rioted after an April election in which ethnic Albanians swept most of the mayoral races.
On Tuesday, Kosovo's Kurti said he was optimistic about hammering out a deal but put the onus of signing the agreement with Vucic.
