Grifol also was highly complimentary of throw home to beat a charging when, with runners on second and third and one out in the sixth, tapped a ground ball that could’ve broken a 1-1 tie.
Grifol said one key is attacking the strike zone earlier with a goal of throwing two strikes in the first three pitches of an at-bat.
Grifol said the key in the ninth is to “throw pitches with conviction.”
Grifol will have Jimenez and Sheets to choose from in right field.
“He blocked the ball well, he controls our running game,” Grifol said.
