Gantz is just one in a long string of politicians scathed by Netanyahu’s broken promises.
Gantz stressed to them that halting the overhaul legislation was key to bringing the crisis to an end, the officials said.
Gantz told Netanyahu that regardless of any decision over an emergency government, the current government would receive his full backing “for any responsible and determined security action.”
“Hamas thought that we would come apart – we will dismantle Hamas,” at a Cabinet meeting expanded to include five opposition National Unity Party members, including their leader, Benny Gantz.

War cabinet minister Benny Gantz said in a press briefing alongside Netanyahu tonight that “the ground campaign can help us get our hostages back home.”
“We will continue to act against this regime’s coup and for reforms — but only with wide agreement,” Gantz said.
