Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a heat warning Monday for much of the province, with hot and humid weather forecast to last until Friday.

"People who have a lung disease (such as asthma) or a heart disease, the elderly, children, pregnant women and people who work outdoors are more likely to feel the effects of smoke on their health," the ECCC advisory states.
That smog drifted south to Montreal Friday morning, and those with asthma or respiratory ailments should take precautions, ECCC said.
