The death toll in the Bhiwandi building collapse rose to eight after two bodies were recovered from the debris by a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and officials of Thane Disaster Response Force (TDRF) on Monday morning.

The first incident involving the 46-year-old woman and her daughters took place around 4.15 am at a residential building in Patan Bunder area of Uttan town, while the second one occurred at Bhiwandi in the afternoon, they said.
