The BCCDC report BC has seen higher vaccine effectiveness this season compared to previous years against the H3N2 subtype of Influenza A, where vaccine effectiveness has typically been much lower and the epidemics much more severe.

This week, the previous week's total has been revised upwards to 123, and the BCCDC expects that this week's total will be revised upwards as well, "as data become more complete."
“This year’s influenza vaccine appears to be well matched to the influenza viruses circulating in B.C.,” the BCCDC stated.
