For Abiodun, in a majority judgment delivered by the duo of Justices J.S. Ikyegh and Muhammed Mustapha, the appellate court dismissed the appeal brought before it by the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ladi Adebutu.
Mr Adebutu is praying the court to restrain any of the respondents (except the APC chairman) from arresting him, an act he described as a ploy to prevent him from prosecuting his governorship election petition against the governor.
PDP and Adebutu have since gone to town saying that they won the appeal, based on Justice Inyang’s decision.
The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Ladi Adebutu has rejected the overall results of the 2023 governorship election in the state and called for the cancellation of the results.
